Title: Bilingual Teacher (Birth-3) Company: Chicago Youth Centers (CYC) Website: chicagoyouthcenters.org Compensation: $40,000 - $58,000 per year; commensurate with education, credentials & experience Classification: Full Time; Exempt Reports to: Childcare Director Supervisor Responsibilities: No Locations: CYC Calumet Heights Center at 9207 S. Phillips Ave. (Chicago, IL) CYC Rebecca Crown Center at 7601 S. Phillips Ave. (Chicago, IL) CYC George E. Taylor Center at 3232 W. Division. (Chicago, IL) Schedule: 8:30a - 5:00p; Monday - Friday; schedule varies depending on program needs Purpose: The Bilingual Teacher is responsible for providing developmentally appropriate learning experiences, supervision of children assigned in the classroom, providing a supportive and positive classroom climate, implement the Gold Assessment and creative curriculum, administer developmental screenings, conduct home visits and parent conferences, refer children with disabilities for children ages 15 months-3 years old. Participate and attend family engagement activities and parent meetings. Responsibilities: •Assist with providing a learning environment for children that will help to promote learning through all developmental areas: physical, social-emotional and intellectual •Participate in completing a developmental screening on each child, review health records, complete height and weight growth charts, and use observation techniques to observe and record children’s behavior, language, and overall development progress •Assist in providing a “child-centered environment” which includes individualized activities, small and large group activities •Assist in developing weekly lesson plans •Assist in design and lay out daily schedules based upon the monthly program focus designated by the Educational Coordinator •Assist in administering the ESI screening to determine the growth and development of each participate

Skills
•Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development or BA Degree in any area with thirty (30) credit hours in Early Childhood Education. •1-2 years of related experience. Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
