Summary: The Clinical Supervisor & Youth Program Manager role at Cancer Support Community Los Angeles provides support to the Clinical & Program Director with respect to all areas of supportive care, with special attention to the development and implementation of Child, Teen & Family programming. In addition, the role will include the clinical supervision of Clinical Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, and Social Work trainees under the registration and guidance of the California Board of Psychology and Board of Behavioral Science. The individual will regularly interface with CSCLA members, potential members, program staff, trainees, and volunteers. The Clinical Supervisor & Youth Program Manager will provide clinical care in full compliance with state regulations and the Cancer Support Community program philosophy. Reporting to the Clinical & Program Director, the Clinical Supervisor & Youth Program Manager will work collaboratively throughout the organization to ensure that program efforts are consistent with and supportive of Cancer Support Community’s overall strategic plan and vision. This position may require weekend and evening hours. Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

General Program Development & Delivery
•        Function as a part of an interdisciplinary team;
•        Attend weekly Clinical Team Meetings; Attend bi-weekly Admin Team meetings; Attend monthly Staff Meetings;
•        Perform community outreach through public speaking, offsite meetings, virtual gathering, and other contact;
•        Assist with calls, walk-ins and other community member needs as they arise along with CSCLA staff;
•        Assist with administrative tasks. This includes, but is not limited to, entering data and attendance into CSCLA database; record keeping; organizing files; making copies; answering and making phone calls; and assisting other CSCLA staff as requested.
Child, Teen and Family & Clinical Responsibilities
•        Serve as primary contact and coordinator of CSCLA’s CTF program
•        Design and facilitate support and networking groups within the CTF program (e.g., Creating Connections for Kids, Teens, and Parents groups);
•        Coordinate with hospital systems, school districts, and families to provide external offerings;
•        Facilitate 2-3 regularly attending support groups – groups to align with CTF needs, Program needs, and personal interest and background;
•        Coordinate and participate in outreach efforts to the medical and professional community to build awareness of all CSCLA programs, with emphasis on CTF;
Supervisory Responsibilities
•        Acts as primary point person for clinical crises, including mandated reporting issues, and reports and consults all such cases to Clinical & Program Director;
•        Develops Clinical Training Program didactic schedule and mentors Trainees utilizing CSC methodology;
•        Acts as liaison to clinical team regarding feedback of Trainee progress and facilitates resolution of any issues between Trainees, Facilitators, and Staff;
•        Reviews and provides feedback on all Trainee documentation, including initial interviews, confidentiality statements, distress screening reports, and clinical session notes;
•        Provides individual and group clinical supervision for Trainees, as described by each referring institution and/or regulating body.

Skills
Education/Experience:
•        Clinical mental health professional with knowledge of psychosocial oncology and/or related experience (i.e. LCSW, LMFT, PsyD)
•        Minimum of two years post-graduate experience, including group facilitation, community outreach, and program development and management experience;

Certificates and Licenses:
LMFT, LCSW, or Clinical Psychologist in the State of California.
