Title:         IT Systems Administrator

Program: IT Department - Varick St

Salary:    $75-105K Based on experience

Overall Responsibilities:

We are seeking a skilled IT System Administrator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining, and supporting our organization’s IT infrastructure. This role requires a strong technical background, attention to detail, and excellent problem-solving skills.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and maintain the organization’s IT infrastructure, including servers, operating systems, storage systems, and associated hardware and software.
Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise, ensuring maximum uptime and reliability.
Automating system administration tasks using scripting languages or automation tools.
Planning and implementing system upgrades and migrations.
Maintain backups and disaster recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and minimize downtime.
Collaborate with other IT team members to support business objectives and best practices.
Evaluate and recommend hardware and software upgrades to improve system performance and efficiency.
Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps to facilitate knowledge sharing and training to Level I technicians.
Provide Level II & III technical support and assistance to end-users as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of Windows, iOS, and Linux operating systems.
Experience with virtualization technologies and network concepts.
Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS) is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving skills and detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality support and meeting deadlines.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
High School Diploma or GED required.
An associate degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is a plus.
Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSA, MCSE, CompTIA Server+, CCNA) are desirable.
