Description
Vice President, Visual Impairment and Developmental Disabilities Services Salary Range: $140,000-$160,000 Reporting to the Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer, the VP of Visual Impairment and Developmental Disabilities Services will manage and provide administrative and program leadership in developing and maintaining programs and services for all programs serving individuals who are visually impaired and/or developmentally/intellectually disabled. This position will interface with various organizations and government agencies, be able to provide strategic outcomes and inspire others to reach beyond the status quo. This position will directly supervise the program leadership personnel. • Participates in the development and implementation of goals, strategic initiatives, objectives, policies, and priorities for assigned area responsibility. • Develops and executes policies and procedures and a system of accountability and tracks the quality of service, program budget relevant documentation, and adherence to regulatory and contractual requirements. • Manages personnel functions including recruitment, hiring, retention and discipline of staff. • Analyze program quality data and make recommendations to the EVP/COO based on trends. • Manage the development of the overall educational process and administrative procedures and controls necessary to the implementation of educational programs for the achievement of the educational objectives, including state and school content standards. Qualifications include: • Master’s Degree in a developmental disability and/or vision related area. • Certification in a developmental disabilities or vision related area (State or National). • California Administrative Credential a plus. Experience: • Minimum of 10 years of successful experience preferred in relevant leadership roles with increasing responsibility and previous experience managing a cross-disciplinary team • Minimum five years working with individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities, visual impairment, special education, education administration, program leadership, or related field. • Experience with behavior intervention and behavior management for individuals with disabilities • Experience with program development/expansion to meet the needs of a diverse population. • Experience in a non-public school setting meeting the needs of children with special needs preferred.For consideration, please email your resume to: leslie@askanashrc.com
