Description
Job description-The Agency Social Worker facilitates foster care placement by providing services to children requiring foster placement and to their foster families. The ASW conducts supervised visits, assessments and develops individual case plans and treatment objectives for each client to facilitate successful foster care placement. The ASW will consult with the Social Work Supervisor and Administrator to ensure quality and ethically sound services that also maintain compliance with State and Agency regulations. Must be able to conduct psychosocial assessments and be comfortable with training others.

Key Performance Areas:

*Make regular home visits to certified foster families to assess and/or address the needs of children and to provide support to foster parents.

*Develop individual case plans and treatment objectives for children.

*Coordinate all services and arrange appropriate referrals to meet treatment objectives.

*Monitor that treatment objectives are met.

*Monitor visits between children and birth families and provide intervention and support.

*Provide quarterly & appraisal needs and services reports to Children and Family Services while child is in foster care.

*Participate in case conferences, support groups, in-service trainings, and other agency functions.

*Provide support through discharge planning.

*Assess families’ strengths & needs and provide in-home training to address areas of concern.

*ASW must believe in and act in accordance with both the Agency’s and the Program’s Mission Statements.

*Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

*Masters Degree in Social Work, Counseling or other related field recognized by Community Care Licensing preferred.

*Must meet Community Care Licensing and insurance requirements.

*Must have a valid California Driver’s License and a good driving record.

*Must pass a physical exam and TB test.

*Must pass a drug screen.

*Provide Criminal and Child Abuse Clearance from the State of California/Department of Justice.

*Experience conducting psychosocial assessments of children and families.

*Inspiring, self-starter.

*Ability to work independently and as part of a team, strong conflict resolution, communication and organizational skills; with great attention to detail.

*FFA experience preferred.

Required education:

Master's

Required experience:
Social Work: 2 years

Required language:
English, Bilingual-Spanish Speaking a plus

Required licenses or certifications:
CPR/First Aid Driver's License
