What The LMSW Consultant Does:Complete psychiatric evaluations that assess and diagnose clients for mental health, behavioral, emotional, or addiction disorders. Works closely with the different shelter teams to schedule and complete the psychiatric evaluation. Weekly hours will vary depending on the need of the program.
Minimum Education/Experience Required:
Licensed Master’s degree in social work or mental health counseling required
Preferable 2 years of experience with administrating and documenting psychiatric evaluations
Requires the ability to exercise discretion and use good judgment to perform duties promptly and consistently with little direction. Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
Ability to read and understand oral and written instructions, and effectively communicate information
Document and report on findings and outcomes with all client interactions
Strong computer skills
Display strong theoretical knowledge of psychopathology and appropriate treatment and provide appropriate referrals and follow-up when needed
Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to communicate with the different social service teams at the shelters and with clients
Must be willing to travel to different site locations in different boroughs
Bi-Lingual in Spanish preferred
Compensation: - $50.00 hourly -
When salary ranges are listed, the range would represent the low and high end for the applicable position & program. The salary offered would be based on various factors unique to each program and candidate. This includes but is not limited to experience, education, budget and/or program size, internal equity, skills and other factors that may be required for the position and organization.
