Description
•Responsible for development of, leadership to, and evaluation of after school enrichment programs in accordance with a community schools model, CYC vision, mission, outcomes, and procedures, and ISBE 21st Century CLC program standards; ensure that program plans operate in alignment with a Positive Youth Development program philosophy and program outcomes; coordinate all after school programs to provide the maximum benefit to students.
•Responsible for management, supervision and/or oversight of assigned staff including employees, independent contractors, interns, work-study students, and volunteers; identify, recruit, and contract with individuals and organizations to offer high quality programs and services for students and families; manage daily program operations coordinating schedule and work assignments; facilitate and/or participate in local and agency-wide training as assigned.
•Responsible for organizing and managing an Advisory Committee for the purpose of assessing school and community assets and needs and recommending programs; work with school administration to facilitate a positive, engaging school climate; participate in the development of relationships with external partners; develop collaborative and partnership agreements; attend assigned community group and partner meetings toward the goal of coordinating and improving services to students and families.
•Responsible for the involvement of children, parents and families; ensure consistent participation of students and communication with parents of youth members; develop parent and family activities in accordance with ISBE and CYC expectations and program plans.
