If you are a clinically oriented Social Worker with a desire to work with professionals in performing arts and entertainment, The Entertainment Community Fund (formerly The Actors Fund), is looking for you! We are a nationwide human services organization that helps all professionals in performing arts and entertainment and we are seeking a Social Worker to join our HIV Initiative and Disabilities Program, providing client-centered clinical case management, supportive counseling, groups, and financial assistance to adult professionals in performing arts and entertainment who are living with HIV or managing an illness or injury. This is a hybrid position with a requirement of 2-3 days per week in the CA office.

RESPONSIBILITIES
The HIV Initiative and Disabilities Program social worker will engage with a wide variety of individuals, couples and families in a clinical process that facilitates development of assessments and treatment plans. This includes clinical case management, evaluating and advocating for financial assistance, as well as serving as a liaison to additional resources. The social worker will help the client access public and community resources and facilitate connections to health insurance, medical providers, public benefits, and community organizations.

The HIV Initiative and Disabilities Program social worker will provide short term supportive counseling, mental health assessments, referrals and crisis intervention to individuals and families who are dealing with HIV and/or a disabling condition or illness. The social worker will facilitate clinical and support groups, as well as develop seminars and trainings that address the needs of the entertainment community, in particular those who are living with HIV and dealing with other health issues or injuries.

The social worker will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with other programs of the Fund as well as unions, industry management and community organizations to facilitate treatment plans and services. Additionally, the social worker will identify and develop relationships with community and mental health resources and provide outreach to the community to promote services.

COMPENSATION
Compensation is commensurate with licensure type and years of experience. The salary range for candidates who hold an MSW is between $65,000 - $69,165. The salary range for candidates who hold an LCSW is between $72,468 - $74,165. Internships, volunteer work, and gaps in employment will not be counted towards years of experience.

Skills
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Master’s from accredited School of Social Work.
• Strong assessment, intensive clinical case mgmt., and advocacy skills. Ability to engage a wide range of presentations.
• Crisis intervention skills.
• Group facilitation skills and interest.
• Solid understanding of HIV/AIDS-related issues, & community resources. Experience working with clients with other short- and long-term disabilities. Knowledge of public benefits helpful.
• Adhere to NASW code of ethics


Notes
PREFERRED QUALITIES
• State Licensure or Certification a plus.
• Experience working with the dually diagnosed preferred.
• Experience with the entertainment community preferred.
• Some evenings required to conduct groups, seminars or trainings and to assist in agency-wide outreach to the entertainment community.
• Bilingual: Spanish/English a plus
