Description
The Entertainment Community Fund (formerly The Actors Fund) is a nationwide human services organization that helps all professionals in performing arts and entertainment. Entertainment Community Fund clients are a diverse, dynamic and engaging group of working professionals and include musicians, actors, stage managers, set designers, hair and make-up stylists, costume designers, ushers, and radio hosts to name a few. The agency is seeking a clinically oriented Social Worker to join our Workplace Initiative team to develop and lead trainings as well as provide client-centered clinical case management, supportive counseling, and financial assistance to adult professionals in performing arts. This is a hybrid position with the expectation of working a couple days a week at The Fund’s Times Square office.


RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage and facilitate the Entertainment Community Fund's Respect in the Workplace Training module and stay up to date on resources for the community on topics of harassment and discrimination.
- Collaborate with community stakeholders in developing relevant training curriculum as well as facilitate workshops and trainings to industry professionals on topics such as Stress Management, Performance Anxiety, and Life on Tour.
- Engage with a wide variety of individuals and their families in a clinical process that facilitates development of assessments and treatment plans.
- Clinical case management, evaluating and advocating for financial assistance, as well as serving as a liaison to additional resources.
- Provide supportive counseling as part of the therapeutic process to achieve identified treatment goals and outcomes.
- Provide mental health assessments and crisis intervention to individuals and their families.
- Facilitate clinical groups for entertainment professionals and provide options counseling for industry professionals who have experienced harassment and/or discrimination in the industry.
- Provide short term supportive counseling for workplace concerns including workplace behavior management and critical incident support.
- Work collaboratively with other programs of the Entertainment Community Fund as well as unions, industry management and community organizations to facilitate supports and services.
- Identify and develop relationships with community and mental health resources and provide outreach to the community to promote services.

REQUIREMENTS
- Master’s in social work from an accredited School of Social Work
- NY State Licensure
- Strong clinical case management and advocacy skills with the ability to consistently convey a sense of empathy with people and demonstrate solid clinical acumen.
- A commitment to cultural humility and anti-racist social work practice
- Experience in developing and implementing workshops and groups
- Skilled at public speaking and curriculum development
- Available to conduct groups, seminars or trainings during the evenings as needed
- May be required to work an adjusted schedule; evening or weekend hours
- May be required to travel out of state for workshops, networking, and trainings.

PREFERRED QUALITIES
- Experience with the entertainment community is helpful.
- Availability to assist in agency-wide outreach to the entertainment community to provide information about Entertainment Community Fund services.
- Some lifting of supplies for client activities, up to 20 lbs.
