Overall Responsibilities
Under the general direction of the Vice President of Programs, with the wide latitude for independent action, the Director is responsible for the overall management of the program. The Program Director provides leadership, direction, guidance, coaching and direct and indirect supervision to staff. The Program Director oversees the Clinical Team, Front Desk Staff, and Maintenance Staff.
Program Description
Renewal House provides transitional housing to 50 individuals who have a history of substance use. Renewal House is funded by OASAS and works to provide clients with skills that will support them in more independent housing in the future.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The essential duties of the Program Director include but are not limited to the following activities:
Regularly meets with Direct Reports on an individual and group basis to clarify roles and approaches for delivering services to clients, making corrective recommendations as appropriate.
Hire and train all new staff at the facility
Facilitates staff and team meetings
Interfaces with the community, neighborhood associations and other local service providers
Interview and screen potential clients and work closely with referral sources
Oversee clinical documentation and ensure all paperwork is completed in a timely manner
Interfaces with state agencies as needed to better serve the clients, insuring the timely completion of monthly and annual reports.
Participates in case conferences in response to client complaints
Available to respond to emergencies on a 24/7/365 basis
Track rent collection and coordinate intake paperwork with the Property Management Department at Headquarters
Oversee the budget and participate in quarterly calls with Fiscal Department
Ensure visit requirements and chart requirements are met for clients
Participates in and works with Executive Leadership and other Program Directors on various agency-wide initiatives including, but not limited to integration efforts, strategic planning and organizational development
