OVERVIEW: The Therapist is responsible for providing individual, family and collateral services to clients in
the Wraparound program. The Therapist works closely with the county and residential/agency social workers,
consulting and collaborating on client’s progress and treatment plans. The Therapist also serves as a program consultant to other programs as required to assure quality services for the youth and/or family.

QUALIFICATIONS: The licensed Therapist must possess a Master’s degree from an accredited school of
Social Work or other graduate program in Psychology, Counseling or Marriage, Family and Child Counseling.
Licensed Therapists must possess a license issued by the California BBS as an LMFT, LCSW or LPCC.

Students may be considered for employment as long as they are within 60 days of graduation with an
applicable Master’s degree and are required to be registered with the BBSE within 90 days of graduation.
Unlicensed Therapists must possess a Master’s degree from an accredited school of Social Work or other
graduate program in Psychology, Counseling or Marriage, Family and Child Counseling.

Unlicensed Therapists must also be registered by the California BBS as an ASW, AMFT or APCC. Must receive LMFT, LCSW or LPCC license within six years of initial registration with the California BBS as an intern to meet Sacramento County contract requirements.
One year of counseling experience is preferred. Prior experience with children, adolescents and families with
emotional problems is preferred.

Driving is an essential function of this job. As such, employees in this position will be required to furnish
their own vehicle to be used in the course of employment. A valid driver’s license and minimum insurance coverage is also required. Must be at least 21 years old.
