POSITION SUMMARY: Under the guidance of the Clinical Program Manager, the Therapeutic Behavioral Services (TBS) Supervisor provides direct supervision and oversight of the TBS program staff. The TBS Supervisor ensures that the administrative and clinical services of the program meets DBHS contract standards. The TBS Supervisor may provide direct services to youth and families as needed. The TBS Supervisor ensures appropriate communication and coordination takes place with the youth and family’s primary mental health provider. The TBS directly supervise assigned staff and provide regular supervision and coaching as needed. Coaching and supervision to include first-hand observations. The TBS Supervisor ensures that the use of best practices and implementation of services that demonstrate fidelity to the established TBS model.
QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess a Master’s Degree from an accredited school of Social Work, Counseling or Psychology.
Must be registered by the California BBS as an ASW, AMFT or APCC. Must receive LMFT, LCSW or LPCC license within six years of initial registration with the California BBS as an intern to meet Sacramento County contract requirements. Possession of a license as an LMFT, LCSW or LPCC is highly desired. Eligible and qualified to provide clinical supervision per BBS regulations is highly desired.
At least 3 years’ experience working with seriously disturbed children, adolescents, and families, and experience in engaging parents as partners and working successfully with families from diverse ethnic and cultural groups is required. Experience in providing applied behavioral analysis services is highly desired. Previous experience with EPSDT billing and documentation is highly desired. One year of supervisory responsibilities in a community mental health setting is preferred.
Driving is an essential function of this job, and as such, employees in this position will be required to furnish their own vehicle to be used in the course of employment. A valid driver’s license and minimum insurance coverage is also required.
