In recent years, the agency has enhanced its capacity to serve individuals who identify as LGBTQIA+. Integrity House respects consumers’ gender identity and houses consumers with the gender of their preference. DMHAS support will allow Integrity to increase its ability to serve LGBTQIA+ identifying individuals at a greater scale.
The need for SUD services in Newark and Essex County remains great. Integrity proposes to serve members of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer/questioning, intersex, asexual/agender (LGBTQIA+) population in greater Newark. The lack of data on the LGBTQIA+ community in New Jersey and their specific challenges underscores the need for this population to be prioritized.
Goals & Objectives
The goal of this project is to connect increasing numbers of individuals who identify asLGTQIA+ to comprehensive, trauma-informed SUD treatment.
