Job Title: Youth Partner (Up to $3000 Bilingual Incentive)
Actual offers will be determined by the candidate’s creditable years of experience in conjunction with internal equity considerations and based on the organization’s current compensation practices.

Job Summary
Works within the vision, mission, and philosophy of the agency. Provides support to youth receiving services to ensure that the youth’s voice is heard throughout all phases of treatment. Uses personal life experience to establish credibility and infuse hope for a better future. Demonstrates unconditional acceptance and models life skills. The Youth Partner participates in program and community meetings to maximize the youth's voice and involvement throughout the service delivery process.
Essential Duties
1. Provides support to youth and families in achieving their treatment goals.
2. Strategically utilizes personal life experience to demonstrate that recovery and resilience is possible for youth served by the program.
3. Engage youth and families in ways that demonstrates understanding of the youth and family perspective and creates a positive connection and support through the service delivery experience.
4. Connects with youth to encourage and support their engagement in their own treatment planning, and participation in school and/or community activities.
5. Models and coaches positive, constructive attitudes, and behaviors in managing different situations in school, work, and living situations.
6. Mentors, coaches, and teaches independent living and self-advocacy skills.
7. Supports youth connection and engagement with community resources and natural supports.
8. Assists in the organization and facilitation of youth activities.
9. Facilitates groups for youth including the Youth Advisory Board.
10. Provides a youth perspective in agency meetings, committees, and project implementation workgroups to increase a team’s awareness and understanding of a youth’s perspective.
11. Attends county and community meetings as requested.
12. Performs other related responsibilities, as assigned, to support specific department/ business needs.
13. Employee is required to meet applicable productivity and documentation requirements
14. Driving to appointments with clients and their families or other key contacts
15. Physical interactions with children of variable ages such as, but not limited to, games, sports and other activities

Other Specific Requirements
• Must pass Department of Justice (DOJ), Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI), and Child Abuse Index Check (CAIC) background clearance, if applicable.
• Valid California Driver's license with two years’ experience driving and clean driving record may be required.
