JOB SUMMARY:
Clinical Supervisor is responsible for providing weekly clinical supervision to assigned staff (individual and group); review and approve client notes according to “PIC” and outside regulatory body standards; respond to clinical issues and concerns from staff, clients and caregivers; identify training needs; plan and implement formal and informal training of staff, may provide individual and group counseling services to assigned clients, etc.
SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES:
?Supervise Associate Clinical Social Worker & Marriage and Family Therapy Intern
providing client services.
?Perform related duties/obligations of a clinical nature as needed which includes: clinical supervision of assigned staff (individual and group).
?Respond to clinical issues and concerns from staff, clients and caregivers.
?Review and approve client notes according to “PIC” and outside regulatory body standards, communicates with Program Manager/Clinical Director on deficiencies as required.
?May carry a caseload to assist in client services as needed.
?Participate in weekly URC (Utilization Review Conference); Identify educational needs; plan and implement formal and informal training/teaching of staff.
?Provide targeted training for assigned staff in DMH documentation and charting requirements
while collaborating with Clinical Director and Program Manager.
?May attend QIC & Provider Meetings and any other meetings required by county, community partners, and/or human services agency as assigned.


Skills
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
•Master’s Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Clinical Psychology
•Current license (LCSW, LMFT or PSYD) with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences or California Board of Psychology.
•Two (2) years of clinical supervision experience in a social services agency preferred.
•Certificate(s) in Evidenced Based Training.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills while working with staff and all levels of management.
•Proficiency in a computer dat


Notes
REASONING ABILITY:
Demonstrated understanding of psychiatric illness and its treatment. Visually and audibly assess the mental status, behavior and needs of potential admissions to the program.
