You could play a key role supporting the Head Start Division! This position is expected to manage a caseload throughout San Fernando and Antelope Valley.
Starting hourly pay: $25.30-$31.63 DOE
Within a team environment, Mentor Coach I will perform the following responsibilities:
Coaching & Mentoring (75%), Program Compliance (10%), and Reporting & Data Sharing (10%)
Core minimum requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development, Early Childhood Education or related field, including a minimum of 24 semester units in Child Development or Early Childhood Education.
Experience: Three years of teaching experience in a lead role with children ages 0-5 required. Knowledge of California Department of Education’s Desired Results Developmental Profile (DRDP) System, Head Start Early Learning Outcomes Framework, the California Infant/Toddler and Preschool Learning Foundations, the California Infant/Toddler and Preschool Curriculum Frameworks, Classroom Assessment Scoring System, Environmental Rating Scale, and Ages & Stages Questionnaires.
Professional/Technical Certifications: Hold current Child Development Teaching permit(s) AND is willing to be trained and certified in related certifications (i.e., CLASS, Creative Curriculum Fidelity, Practice Based Coaching Model, etc.) within three months of start date.
Technical Requirements: Intermediate proficiency level using Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and video conferencing tools including Zoom and Microsoft Teams.
Travel: This position requires 25% of travel. Will consist of travel to and from Head Start centers for on-site coach. May use CCRC company vehicles, when available or personal vehicle and will be subject to Driver Management Policy requirements (i.e., valid California Driver’s License, automobile insurance and a clean driving record required).
Work Schedule: Full time, ability to work a non-traditional work schedule including evenings. This position is full time, 40 hours per week; will work a traditional schedule (i.e., Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm).
Work Environment: This is a hybrid work environment and will consist of working remotely and/or at headquarters’ office location with scheduled on-site visits to various Head Start centers.
