The Assistant Director is a member of the FBH management team and is responsible for ensuring that all casework units are meeting administrative mandates, policies and procedures, are collaborating to provide coordinated services to families and children, and are working towards the permanency of all children in care. The Assistant Director provides day to day clinical and administrative oversight of the intake, aftercare, visit coaching, and mental health unit of a small foster boarding home and adoption program to ensure that clinical needs of program population are adequately met and children achieve permanency. Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
1.Weekly supervision to Master’s and Bachelor’s level social workers.
2.Document in CONNECTIONS as required.
3.Provide clinical direction to supervisee’s and other program units in order to achieve permanency for children in care.
4.Work closely with Quality Assurance (QA) department to ensure quality services and documentation for families served.
5.Ensure staff compliance with ACS reporting requirements.
6.Actively participate in family team conferences as required.
7.Regularly schedule performance evaluation for supervisee’s.
8.Participate in professional development opportunities.
9.Provide coverage for colleagues and supervisee’s as needed.
10.Provide administrative coverage as assigned.
11.Complete other assignments as needed, as designated by the program director.
The Assistant Director will be innovative, exercise critical thinking, and demonstrate flexibility in order to contribute to the successful operation of the foster boarding home program.The ideal candidate will have strong clinical and supervisory skills. Experience working with high risk families and experience in child welfare.
