Job Description: Riverside Academy located in Wichita, Kansas is a residential Treatment center providing psychiatric treatment for boys and girls ages 6 to 18. This position is responsible for creating recreational, educational and theraputic activities for the students at our program.
Responsibilities Include: Provides recreational therapeutic assessment of students. Assesses students social and recreational abilities, deficiencies, interests, barriers, life experiences, needs and potential Plans age-appropriate individual and group activities Creatively uses financial and community resources Provides individual and group treatment services to improve social, emotional, cognitive and physical functional behaviors Discusses plans, ideas and problems with involved physicians, nursing staff & residential staff as appropriate Probably documents the events
