Specific Education, Certification and Skill Requirements (if applicable): • A Bachelor’s degree (in a social services field preferred) or equivalent experience; Master’s degree preferred. • Minimum two to three years’ professional experience in homebuying, mortgage lending, real estate, housing counseling, and/or credit/financial education. • At least two years experience working with community, government and/or non-profit programs and projects.
Job Description: Essential Job Functions • Deliver financial literacy and asset building classes to MPHC residents. • Conduct Benefits Campaigns to improve residents’ access to various public benefits. • Set up, promote, and operate 2 VITA sites and comply with all VITA requirements. • Provide quality tax return assistance to MPHC residents. • Assist eligible residents in applying for the Earned Income Tax Credit and the Child Tax Credit. • Provide group and individual homebuying education and assistance. • Organize homebuying bus tours. • Recruit, screen, and supervise volunteers. • Develop, implement, manage, and evaluate the effectiveness of services. • Research, identify, and obtain the most appropriate resources and service providers to meet residents’ needs. • Develop, maintain, and evaluate partnerships with external organizations. • Appropriately implement mandated reporting policies and procedures. • Lead, support, and build staff and volunteer teams. • Ensure historical information related to Services is maintained in written form at every property. • Appropriately develop and manage budgets. • Monitor and manage all assigned internal and external contracts and memorandum of understandings and ensure compliance with all funding requirements. • Complete and manage all reports and timelines accurately and appropriately. • Maintain accurate records and files (including but not limited to entering and tracking resident contacts). • Promote MPHSC services internally and externally, represent MPHSC with community groups and other partner organizations, and participate in MPHSC and outside support networks. • Ensure Vice President of Services is regularly apprised of activities and problems in a timely manner. • Actively participate and support working with others as a team. • Implement and support all MPHSC and MPHC policies and procedures appropriately and accurately. • Perform other duties as assigned.
