Job Description: The Mental Health Association of NYC, Fast Track to Employment Program is looking for a full-time Vocational Specialist/Job Developer to provide vocational and job placement services to adults in recovery from mental illness for a Manhattan based program. The Vocational Specialist/Job Developer is responsible for: maintaining a caseload of approximately 15 – 18 consumers; working with consumers on career exploration, vocational planning, and goal development; job readiness and job preparation; job placement; and developing a job base that will provide competitive and intern placement opportunities for individuals with psychiatric disabilities. In addition, (s)he is responsible for implementing a marketing plan that will influence employers to hire qualified consumers for competitive jobs. Requirements: • BA, preferred, with one year experience in Job Development • Self starter,solid experience in sales and marketing, creative team player, excellent interpersonal skills, in-depth knowledge of NYC labor market and business community culture. • Spanish speaking a plus
