Ensure timeliness, cost efficiency, appropriateness and high quality of behavioral health services delivered within the managed care format. You will assist hospitalized patients with pre-certification, initial and concurrent reviews, coordination of continuing stay, discharge planning and referrals to case/disease management programs. You will also provide authorizations and facilitate appointments for outpatient services, and help ensure overall medical necessity. Tracking utilization, identifying quality assurance/risk management issues, preparation of case summaries and other reporting functions as assigned.
