We are seeking Bi-Lingual Spanish and English speaking counselors.Our Intercept program serves a broad population of youth, including those involved with multiple child-serving systems and those at high risk of removal from their families. The program specializes in diverting youth from out of home placements by helping their families safely maintain youth in their home environment. Intercept also focuses on reunification of youth who are in a residential treatment or foster home setting.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
Holistic Approach: Counselors provide services to the entire family, rather than just the identified youth. Counselors work with the family hands-on to build trust and align them with treatment.
Small Caseloads: Counselors are responsible for four to six families.
Intensive services: Counselors meet with families at least three times weekly and are on call 24/7 Monday-Friday with a rotating weekend on-call schedule.
Intensive but flexible schedule: Counselors deliver services in the family's home or wherever they need us (school, court, etc.) and flexibly schedule sessions to meet the family's needs.
Individualized Treatment: Counselors design services to meet each individual family's needs; ongoing assessment and review of treatment progress assures individualized service
Time-limited service: Treatment usually lasts three to six months
High Levels of Support and Supervision: Counselors meet with supervisors at least three times per week to discuss progress and personal development. Our leadership is always available for backup in difficult situations. All counselors complete a thorough training schedule designed to maximize clinical skill.
