Specific Education, Certification and Skill Requirements (if applicable): Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in a human services related field or equivalent and/or one (1) to three (3) years related experience or equivalent. Experience working with the CalWORKs or WTW programs preferred.
Job Description: Job Purpose: ARBOR Education & Training in Orange County provides training and education to adults with barriers to employment in programs that include welfare-to-work initiatives. Responsibilities: Facilitating and training job search readiness workshops in a motivational setting; job development; assisting in structured job search. Working one on one with program participants; interfacing with employers and community- based organizations; connecting participants to resources. Facilitate and assist in soft skills: goal setting, budgeting, career advancement and life skills. Documentation and maintenance of program participant files. Qualities: Positive Attitude, Ability to Build Relationships, Interpersonal Skills, Supports Innovation, Professional Verbal and Written Communication, Listening Skills, Excellent Customer Relations, Ability to Maintain Confidentiality.
