Reporting to the CEO, the Vice President will strategically and operationally lead all foster care departments. Responsibilities include the direct supervision of the department’s Directors and program leadership. Additional departments of responsibilities include Preventive, Regional Permanency Center, Adoption/KinGap, and Family Development. Demonstrated expertise on working within the NYC Foster Care system as well as with the surrounding Local Districts of Social Services.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Vice President of Foster Care must possess experience in all of the following areas:
•Provide direct supervision to the Foster Care Program and Departmental Directors.
•Provides the leadership necessary to coordinate RFPs and other program or agency related projects
•Participate in internal committees
•Facilitate internal case practice and administrative reviews
•Ensure programmatic adherence to funding source and agency policies and procedures
•Assess, develop and implement program policies for the enhancement of program practice
•Work with Quality Assurance to ensure that programs are meeting external outcome expectations as well as internal
•Through effective data analysis adapt practices where necessary to ensure that program level outcomes are achieved and are consistent with best practices
•Demonstrated knowledge and expertise on all Scorecard related measurements as well as the ability to implement data-driven interventions
•Facilitate the integration of all support departments with the Foster Care programs to ensure the fluid delivery of service to clients.
•Act as the agency’s representative/liaison for all local, state and federal foster care matters
•Ensure that staff receive the necessary training, support and development to carry out their duties and responsibilities
•Minimum of 5+ years of leadership experience in Foster Care
•Expertise in supervision, administration and program development
•Successful Track record designing and implementing new programs
•Computer Literate (Microsoft, Excel and CNNX)
•Team player with solid planning, organizational and follow up skills
•Excellent communication, interpersonal and writing skills
•LMSW or related field. LCSW preferred.
•Leadership: 5 years+
