•Works in coordination with child’s therapist, TBS Coordinator, family, child and other collaterals as appropriate in the development of a comprehensive treatment plan;
•Maintains a close supportive relationship with the child’s family, school personnel, County Social Worker, Psychiatrist, Wraparound Team, probation officer who may be involved in the child’s life;
•Provide structure for the client in all social settings and role model for the client and his/her parents/ caregivers appropriate coping, problem-solving, anger management, and communication skills in order to decrease conflicts within all social settings as well as further strengthening the parent-child relationship;
•Implements interventions as delineated in the child’s treatment plan that addresses his/her mental health needs such as:
oTranslating treatment objectives into treatment techniques for implementation into the client’s program including behavioral contracts, audio-visual cues, and other positive ways for clients to express their feelings and develop better coping skills;
oFacilitating interactions between child and parent/caretakers while also modeling appropriate coping skills to the children and parents/caretakers/staff;
oProviding structure for the client and role modeling for the parents/caretakers to teach both the value of structure and planning;
•Develops a working knowledge of behavioral modification, cognitive behavioral techniques, assisting the parent/caregiver in implementing a daily routine ensuring consistency and following through rewards, consequences, and limits;
•Knowledgeable of community resources and other support systems available for the child and family;
•Attends treatment planning meetings and monthly treatment plan reviews;
•Actively participates and assists in directing the development and implementation of the treatment plan;
•Responds to crisis situations and is available via cell phone as directed by supervisor;
•With the TBS Coordinator, will help develop work schedules based on the needs of the children receiving services;
•Manages hours worked, documents time in weekly productivity work sheet, and meets productivity expectations;
•Completes all documentation as required by the Department of Mental Health and Bienvenidos which should be accurate and completed in a timely manner;
•Progress notes must be completed weekly; and
•Performs all other duties as requested by Supervisor.

•Required: Undergraduate Degree in Social work, Psychology;
•Some experience in working with severely emotionally disturbed children and their families;
•Experience working with ethnically and culturally diverse communities, homeless and low-income populations;
•Good oral and written communication;
•Preferred: English / Spanish bilingual;
•Must have flexible schedule (may be required to work weekends, evenings, early mornings, split shifts, etc.); and

•Must have a reliable automobile and insurance for use on the job;
•Valid California Driver License;
•Subject to a criminal background check prior to employment;
•TB clearance, to be renewed every two years; and
•Post-employment physical & drug screen clearance prior to start of employment.
