Coordinate all aspects of College Directions programming, including outreach and recruitment, intake and registration, yearly calendar and curriculum development (workshops, trips, special events), administrative tracking, and supervision of daily activities
Help with merging of College Directions into the larger Teen Center and Youth Programs at KHCC by assisting with planning and implementing direct service initiatives and events (e.g. game nights, fundraisers, trips, etc.)
Maintain collaborative relationships with community agencies, colleges, college counseling networks, and schools that consistently provide support, collaborate around specialty projects, and/or send youth to use college access services.
Engage, build relationships with, and provide appropriate behavior management and supervision for youth via daily tween, teen, and CDP program activities.
Provide task supervision for the Teen Program Assistant/CDP Educational counselor and other part-time staff members as assigned
Research, plan and implement all college workshops, both in-house and outside the center at linked agencies and high schools
Provide individual college counseling for a large caseload of students discussing financial aid options, college selection, and the actual application process
Stay informed about changes and developments in the college access community, including the statewide CUNY/SUNY system, financial aid/ scholarships, and special programs for low-income students (e.g. EOP, HEOP, etc.)
Attend agency wide and outside meetings and trainings as needed
