Seeking licensed or registered LCSW, MFT, MFTI or ASW bilingual in Spanish and English to work with children and youth ages 0-21 years of age and with adults 19-64. Experienced therapist desired who is well versed in individual, family, collateral therapy. Familiar with or willing to work with treatment modalities of Trauma Focused Cognitive Therapy, Child-Parent Psychotherapy, Managing And Adapting Practices, and short term treatment for adults such as MHIP or Seeking Safety. Must be willing to travel and provide office, in-home or school based therapy.
Experience with DMH systems is highly desired. Clinical supervision is available on site, as well as professional development trainings throughout the year to further help our employees grow.
The therapist responsible to provide mental health services to children and families in compliance with Medi-Cal regulations, contractual stipulations, and in accord with legal and professional ethical guidelines. Services may include individual, family or group therapy; therapeutic modality is not specified, but may be assigned for certain cases at the discretion of the treatment team and/or clinic manager. Therapists perform services which are within the scope of their training and experience.
•Carries out mission, vision and values established by the President/CEO and Board of Directors;
•Certain clinicians may be assigned a specific population or service line, such as intake, early intervention, adolescents, or Wraparound, at the discretion of the clinic manager;
•Complete initial and annual assessments, including treatment planning and opening Paperwork, as assigned;
•Caseload size will be determined based on the type of services provided, location of services, severity of cases, and clinic resources;
•Maintain timely and detailed clinical records of all client interactions, and other required documentation, which conforms to standards of best practice, Department of Mental Health guidelines, and Bienvenidos Policies and Procedures;
•Participate in weekly staff, case review, and case assignment planning meetings;
•Participate in clinical case presentations, including rotating leadership of that meeting and making presentations to the group on an as assigned basis;
•Participate in training and in-services activities for staff. This may include assisting to provide peer training, on an as assigned basis;
•Communicate relevant information with Bienvenidos’ multidisciplinary team and participate as a part of that team;
•Maintain appropriate registration/licensure with the State of California's Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) or Board of Psychology (BOP), including completion of state required continuing education credits, hours of supervision, and other procedures required by the relevant board;
•Participate in no less than 40 hours of annual professional training. These hours may be gained via attendance at BCC sponsored on-site trainings, off-site professional seminars, graduate coursework, or other opportunities which have been certified by the BBS or BOP;
•Participate in community education and outreach;
•Perform other duties as deemed necessary for fulfillment of program requirement; and
•Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
