Community Service Programs, Inc. is a non-profit agency committed to serving youths, adults and families living in Orange County who are involved or are at risk of involvement with the justice system. CSP now celebrates 40 years of providing services in Orange County. CSP is comprised of eleven model programs assisting over 80,000 persons a year--abused children, victims of crime, struggling families, at-risk youth, and people in need of mediation services.

Responsibilities include: Provide occupational assessments, employment eligibility determination, career counseling, job placement, local business coordination, work experience programs, community service learning projects, psycho-educational groups, assistance with meeting general education completion, and chart documentation associated with the administration and delivery of employment training programs to youth involved with the Juvenile Justice System. Provide information and referral assistance, including but not limited to performing outreach to community based organizations and linkage with employment resources, researching and organizing community service sites, educational resources, and vocational training programs, collecting information to evaluate the client and family’s needs, representing the program at community events and county agencies. Coordinate services with the client’s mental health and case management treatment team and documents all rehabilitation services to clients.
Requirements include: High School Diploma. Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Knowledge and experience in career counseling; knowledge of pre-employment work maturity skills; knowledge of child labor laws; skill in solving employment related problems; general knowledge of public employment and training programs; knowledge of general education requirements and completion; knowledge of vocational training programs; ability to keep accurate statistical records; ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; understand the needs of disadvantaged youth who face serious challenges to employment; work in a team environment and understand techniques for public and private industry job developing and sales techniques. Customer service experience and computer literacy are essential. Valid California driver’s license and liability insurance meeting minimum state requirements. Must be able to work with a diverse consumer base.
