Description
Reporting to CGC’s Clinical Director, the Director of Intake will strive to assure that families receive timely access to intake assessments and treatment based on the degree of urgency of each request. Case assignments will be made by the Director to specific programs and therapists based on the individual needs of each child and family. The Director will promote the agency’s commitment to child-focused, family-centered, culturally competent and sensitive, strength based, and effective professional services. Working under the supervision of the Clinical Director, and in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, care coordinators and other professionals. Providing psychotherapeutic parent and child interventions provide individual therapy utilizing psycho-dynamically oriented, trauma focused, cognitive behavioral, and play therapy interventions, as well as family and group therapy modalities Participating in interdisciplinary treatment planning team meetings and clinical supervision Ensuring the proper and timely completion of all required clinical documentation, unit statistics, and scheduling Assuring that services and clinical documentation reflect clinical best practices and demonstrate compliance with contractual obligations and national, state, and professional best practice standards Other related activities as neededResume and cover letter required. Notes
MSW preferred Connecticut stated licensed mental health professional preferred Minimum three years experience providing clinical assessments and psychotherapy with children, adolescents and families required Minimum 2 years supervisory experience with interns or staff strongly preferred Experience working with patients from culturally diverse backgrounds, and the ability to demonstrate cultural competence and sensitivity required
