Psychiatrist & Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners:

MedTrust is currently seeking to hire full time, permanent, civilian Psychiatrists and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners for the Behavioral Health Program based out of Walter Reed Army Medical Center. This Navy Behavioral Health Program has been fully integrated with the Army and Air Force to deliver world-class mental health care to our nation's heroes and their beneficiaries! The Behavioral Health Program has various locations at military medical treatment facilities in the DC Metro and surounding seaside areas.
All positions treat adults in an outpatient clinic setting. Clinic hours are Monday - Friday from 0730 to 1630 with no nights, no weekends and no Federal Holidays. The services provided range from couples marriage counseling, medication management to depression and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). There is no prescriptive treatment approach mandated for the treatment of PTSD and clinicians are being encouraged to bring in a full range of experience and ideas that they have used with success.
The psychiatrists and nurse practitioners will work closely with other psychiatrists, psychologists, clinical social workers and psychiatric nurse practitioners. The work setting is a dynamic professional environment with opportunities to collaborate with a team of seasoned military and civilian Mental Health professionals. Clinicians are supported a varied approach of treatment options within group and individual therapy practice. Coordination of care is collaborative and a team concept to treatment is the norm. The program is heavily populated with medical students and research & mentoring opportunities are also available.

Preferred:

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
Experience with the diagnosis & treatment of PTSD
