ECF was founded in 1946 by a concerned group of parents determined to meet the needs of their developmentally disabled children. From 16 sites in communities throughout Los Angeles County, ECF offers established programs in Early Start, Kayne Eras K-12 school, Fine Arts, Developmental Activity, Residential Living, Independent Living Skills, Work Training, and Supported Employment, reaching nearly 2,300 children and adults with mental retardation, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, autism, acquired brain injuries, and related conditions. Over the years, ECF has developed into a comprehensive education, rehabilitation, social service, and advocacy agency that provides a broad range of innovative services to assist the developmentally disabled a chance to enjoy life at their fullest.
